Welcome to Adirondack Christian Counseling Service!

From time to time we face a variety of pressures and problems in our everyday living.  These problem areas can involve personal relationships with friends or family members.  Sometimes we may feel a need for greater purpose, direction, or accomplishment in our lives.  Marriage and/or family problems may have grown to the point where assistance is needed.  Or we may wish to talk with someone about a sudden crisis that may have us overwhelmed.

If you are feeling some or all of these types of pressures in your own life, seeking assistance through counseling is an appropriate way to handle these situations.  The counseling process is designed to lead you to a deeper level of self-understanding and assist you in taking steps toward personal and spiritual maturity.

"You Can't Make Me"

Strong-willed children are a challenge for the best of parents. This book helps you “get inside” the child’s head to see how he or she thinks, making it more natural to motivate, discipline, and build relationships.

"Attachments"

Why is it so difficult to connect with, or even get along with, certain people especially the ones you care about the most? Drs. Tim Clinton and Gary Sibcy believe that, for each of us, our present relationships are influenced by our first "attachments" or bonds with people in early childhood. Consequently, understanding your pattern of relating to others what the authors call your "attachment style" is the cornerstone for building satisfying relationships with the people you love.
